Product Types & Materials

1. What is the exact difference between your Handmade Oil Painting and Digital Painting?

The difference lies in the creation process.

Handmade Oil Painting: A real artist paints your photo on canvas using physical brushes and oil paints. It has texture, thickness, and requires drying time. It is a traditional piece of art.

Digital Painting: An artist uses a stylus and tablet to create the artwork digitally, which is then printed onto high-quality canvas. It has the visual look of a painting but the surface is smooth. It is faster to produce and more affordable.

2. Do the paintings come framed or rolled?

We offer different options depending on the product.

Rolled Canvas: The canvas is shipped in a protective tube. You will need to frame it locally.

Gallery Wrapped / Stretched: The canvas is stretched over a wooden frame and arrives ready to hang.
Please check the product description carefully before adding it to your cart, as options may vary for Handmade and Digital items.

3. What is “Gift” and how is it different from the art prints?

Gift stands for “Print on Demand.” These are lifestyle products like mugs, phone cases, and t-shirts. Unlike our wall art, these items are produced in specialized fulfillment centers. We print your custom design or photo onto these everyday items so you can use them daily.

4. Are the materials used for the handmade paintings archival quality?

Yes. We use professional-grade oil paints and high-quality cotton or linen canvases. This ensures that the colors remain vibrant and do not fade over time, provided they are kept out of direct sunlight for extended periods.

Customization & Photo Requirements

1. My photo is a bit blurry. Can you still work with it?

Our artists are very skilled, but the final result depends heavily on the source photo.

For Handmade Paintings: We have more flexibility to interpret details, so slightly blurry photos are usually okay.

For Digital/Gift: We need higher resolution photos because digital printing will show pixelation if the file is too small.
If your photo is too low quality, our team will contact you before we start working.

2.Can you combine people from different photos into one portrait?

Yes, this is one of our most popular services. Please upload all the photos you want to combine and leave a clear note in the “Instructions” box at checkout. Our artists will merge them into a cohesive composition. We will send you a draft to confirm the layout before we finalize it.

3. Do I get to see the artwork before it is shipped?

Handmade & Digital Art: Yes. We will send a digital preview to your email. You can approve it or request revisions. We only ship after your approval.

Gift Products: Typically, we do not send previews for simple photo prints on mugs or shirts to speed up the process, unless significant editing was requested.

4.Can you remove the background or change someone’s clothing?

Yes, we can remove distracting backgrounds or replace them with a solid color. We can also change clothing colors or styles (e.g., changing a t-shirt to a suit) for our Handmade and Digital paintings. Please specify these requests clearly when ordering.

Production Time & Shipping

1. How long will it take to receive my order?

Total delivery time = Production Time + Shipping Time.

Handmade Oil Paintings: Production takes 5-7 days. (Oil paint needs time to dry safely).

Digital Paintings: Production takes 3–5 business days.

Gift Items: Production takes 2–5 business days.
Shipping typically takes an additional 7–14 days depending on your location.

2. Why did I receive my mug but not my painting?

We operate different studios for different products. Your handmade painting is created in our art studio, while your Gift items are produced in a specialized print facility. Therefore, items often ship in separate packages and may arrive on different days. You will receive separate tracking numbers for each package.

3. Do you offer expedited or rush shipping?

We offer express shipping options at checkout for faster delivery. However, please note that we cannot rush the drying process for handmade oil paintings. Real oil paint takes time to cure, and shipping it wet would ruin the artwork. We appreciate your understanding.

Returns, Damages & Cancellations

1. Can I return my order if I am not satisfied?

Since our products are custom-made specifically for you, we do not accept returns for non-quality issues (such as changing your mind).
However, for our paintings, we offer unlimited revisions before shipping. We will work with you until you are satisfied with the preview. Once you approve the preview and we ship it, the sale is final.

2. What should I do if my package arrives damaged?

If your painting or product arrives damaged, please do not worry. Take clear photos of the damage (including the packaging) and email us at [trueflipmaestro@gmail.com] within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a free replacement for you immediately.

3. Can I cancel my order after placing it?

You can request a cancellation within 24 hours of placing your order for a full refund.
After 24 hours, our artists may have already started working on your piece. If you cancel during the production phase, a cancellation fee (usually 20-30% to cover material and labor costs) may apply.

4.The colors look slightly different from what I saw on my screen.

Please be aware that slight color variations are normal.

For Paintings: Artists mix colors by hand, so it is an interpretation of the photo, not a photocopy.

For Digital/Gift: Computer screens (RGB) emit light, while prints (CMYK) absorb light, which can cause slight shifts in tone.
However, if the color is completely wrong, please contact our support team.

Pricing & Costs

1. Why does the price change when I add more people or pets to the painting?

For our Handmade Oil Paintings, the price is based on complexity. Each additional face requires significantly more time and detail from the artist. Therefore, we charge a fee for each additional subject (person or pet).
For Digital Paintings and Gift items, the pricing is usually a flat fee regardless of the number of subjects, unless significant custom editing is required.

2. Are there any hidden fees I should know about?

We believe in transparency. The price you see at checkout includes the artwork and production.
The only potential extra costs are:Shipping: Calculated at checkout based on your address (unless we have a free shipping promotion).

3. Why is the Handmade Oil Painting so much more expensive than the Digital one?

It reflects the labor involved. A Handmade Painting takes a professional artist days or even weeks to paint by hand, layer by layer. You are paying for a one-of-a-kind original piece of art.
Digital Art is created using software. While it still requires artistic skill, it is much faster to produce, allowing us to offer it at a lower price point.

4.Is my payment information secure?

Absolutely. We do not store your credit card information on our servers. All payments are processed through secure, encrypted third-party payment gateways (Google or PayPal) which comply with the highest global security standards.

Uploading & File Issues

1. I have an old physical photo. How can I send it to you?

You don’t need to mail us the original! The best way is to scan it using a high-resolution scanner (at least 300 DPI).
If you don’t have a scanner, you can take a photo of the photo with your smartphone. Just make sure there is no glare (flash off) and the photo is well-lit. Upload that digital file, and our artists will handle the rest.

2. I’m not ready to upload my photo yet. Can I order now and send the photo later?

Yes, you can. This is a great option if you are buying a gift but don’t have access to the photo right now.
You can complete the purchase and simply email the photo to our support team whenever you are ready. Please note that production time will only start after we receive a usable photo.

3. I kept getting an error message when trying to upload. Is my order broken?

Technical glitches happen sometimes. If the upload fails, please check your internet connection or try a different browser.
If it still doesn’t work, don’t stress! Just finish the checkout process without the photo, and immediately email your images to [trueflipmaestro@gmail.com]. We will confirm receipt manually so you know we got them.
